Dubai .. Gateway to the Gulf ..
That’s the title of a book I browsed through at the airport …
I dint catch too much sleep on the 1st leg of my flight from Blr to Dubai .. Caught 5mins of Rock-On and 10mins of 7Pounds … and I’ve decided I need to watch both movies at some point .. With help from a certain colleague who downloads movies by the dozen, I think this should be one of those wishes that just might come true …
They announced that the temp was 31C when we landed at Dubai… I got out of the plane, and it dint seem that hot .. Almost like 31C in Dubai is cool. As we landed, I caught a bit of some manmade islands that Dubai is famous for .. Not Jumeira or the continents of the world .. but something less flashy … I can see it with my own eyes, but the concept continues to amaze me..
Emirates has a dedicated Terminal in the Dubai Intl Airport now .. and its huge! I think this is the only airport where I have seen a store where they sell gold! And there were lotsa Indians at that store! :) I think I read an article in the paper last week reporting that people should continue to make gold investments! .. (I’m sure the reporter owns a couple of gold outlets!)
